Every collection begins long before it becomes a pattern.
It begins with noticing: tiny feathers that look like eyelashes. The texture of a piece of vintage linen. The colors of vegetables at the farmer’s market.
I paint the subject by hand, using pigment, water, and a brush, paying attention to its shape, texture, color, and the details that make it recognizable.
Later, I bring those individual paintings together into patterns and collections. The patterns become less about decorating a surface and more about giving those observations another life through fabric, stationery, home décor, editorial projects, and other creative collaborations.

Wildflowers, including California native flora, appear along trails, in neighborhood front yards, and in parks, often in places we pass without stopping to look.
This collection began with the simple act of noticing them: their different shapes, colors, structures, and the way they become part of the common landscape.

Nature is not only something we look at. It can be experienced through all five senses: the colors and shapes of butterflies, the fragrance of flowers, the sound of bees, the texture of pollen and soil, and the taste of wild strawberries.
This collection is an exploration of those sensory experiences, translated through watercolor into patterns for fabric and wallpaper.

When I first moved, what I missed most was the feeling of belonging: familiar places, neighbors, the walk to the bakery, and the small plazas where people naturally crossed paths.
Eventually, I realized that sense of familiarity can be found almost anywhere, if we slow down enough to notice it.
Small Villa brings together the details of those familiar places: the people, houses, bushes, and tiles, to create a little sense of belonging you can carry with you.

On My Walk
Looking with curiosity allows us to learn more: the names of flowers, the differences between species, and how plants change with the seasons.
Along the way, I discovered that even the most unexpected subjects can become part of a pattern, like Giant Oxalis, a succulent I might otherwise have walked past.
On My Walk brings together hand-drawn botanicals, organic textures, and earthy tones, inspired by the details discovered along the way.
