Last spring, I walked through Switzer Canyon with my phone in hand. Thanks to my dear friend Sheila, we identified and photographed more than 20 species of California native plants.
This one is the California Poppy (Eschschlzia californica), our state flower. I love how its petals close at night and reopen with the sun.
