Join us for an afternoon of embroidery and community! We are teaming up with Inecui and City Farmers Nursery to host this workshop as a fundraiser for Sustainability Is Sexy on 10/23.
If you are looking for a little time for yourself to get creative and meet some great people, this is for you. I will walk you through embroidery step by step while we hang out and create together.
I created embroidery templates from my artwork so you can turn a simple piece of fabric into your own stitched artwork. I will provide deadstock fabric, the templates, embroidery supplies, and everything you need to learn three simple stitches.
We will also talk about how embroidery can become a practical sustainability skill: covering stubborn stains, embellishing preloved garments, and creatively repairing clothing.
And if you already have something in your closet that you would like to give a new life to, bring it along!

Materials: Everything needed for the workshop will be provided. If you would like to add embroidery to a tote, jacket, or another garment, you are welcome to bring it!
