California Sunflower (Encelia californica)
One of the things I love about this California native plant is that it blooms for months, bringing bright yellow flowers to our landscapes from spring well into summer.
If you take a closer look, you will notice another detail: the silvery-green leaves, covered with tiny hairs that help the plant thrive in the dry California climate.
From the watercolor I painted this spring, you can now find California Sunflower as one of my frameable greeting cards.
A6 size (4.25 inches x 5.5 inches) and with envelopes. The paper is white, textured linen.
